Bill will present, “On The Air From The Cloud”
A presentation to introduce real-time, live Cloud backup, playout and Disaster Recovery from your studio’s on-air playout systems. Bill will discuss cyber-attacks, studio-to-Cloud synchronization, user interfaces, streaming options and other ways to keep DR seamless.

IN THIS PRESENTATION, ENCO WILL:

  • Discuss and chronical some of the threats broadcasters are facing today, such as:
    • Cyber-attacks & ransomware
    • Blackhat hackers and backhoes
    • Other things that go wrong and how to be proactive
  • Discuss operational vulnerabilities to today’s “all in one” studio designs vs. what the Cloud can bring
  • Describe where Cloud-based content playout and real-time backup and synchronization has evolved to
  • Explain how the Cloud is being used to support broadcasters today
  • Show functional examples of Web browser control and editing interfaces carried over from desktop app versions
  • Discuss ENCO’s reverence designe for Cloud < > Studio workflows and technical elements
  • Ultimately explain how you can stay on the air after a Disaster from just about anywhere, while maintaining full access to your content when it matters the most

About the Presenter
Bill Bennett is the Media Solutions Account Manager for ENCO Systems, Inc.
Bill Bennett joined ENCO Systems in early 2019 after a sales engineering position with the German manufacturer Lawo. Previous to that, he was a long-time broadcast engineer, consultant and project manager, overseeing ITV & OTT deployments, and venue technical build-out & operations for five Olympic Games and countless US broadcasts spanning the NBA, NHL, NFL and more. He exercised the right-brain as an executive producer and new media business development executive at QVC, and owned a laser display production company (where he got to play with really big lasers).
