Avateq Corp, established in 2009 and headquartered in Canada, is the leading manufacturer of precision RF Layer Monitoring Receiver solutions for the broadcast industry. Now in its second generation, a fully redesigned AVQ1020 – RF Layer Monitoring Receiver is being deployed with O&Os and station groups to monitor hundreds of transmitters in the United States. The flagship solution AVQ1022m – RF Signal Analyzer is a mobile unit used by transmitter field engineers and consultants for proof of transmitter performance. In addition to analyzing transmitter signals, the unit can also perform measurements on off-air signals.
At NAB 2019 Avateq launched the AVQ200 Signal Inspector, a portable unit for off-air signal monitoring and with the availability of multiple standards. It is being sought by engineers to set up SFNs (Single Frequency Networks).
All mentioned products support ATSC 3.0 NextGenTV standard allowing in-depth RF parameters and signal structure analysis.
The success and the enhancements of Avateq solutions are from feedback from users. In addition to monitoring ATSC standards, Avateq is exploring the monitoring of additional modulations.
The SBE meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation and a demonstration of the new AVQ200 Signal Inspector.
