“Telecom Circuits and Links for Broadcast and Media Facilities,” a session focused on helping broadcast engineers navigate today’s complex product and provider landscape. Where does it make sense to get off of licensed protected RF links? The presentation will cover practical ways to make procurement more effective while balancing budget, staffing, and time constraints, along with emerging technologies such as Starlink, 5G, and Software-Defined WAN.
Dan Merwin, CBNE is a lifelong telecom veteran. In 2023, he started his own company, Broadcast Telecom, which is an agency that works with end-users and providers to evaluate and procure telecom and telecom-adjacent services. He also works part-time as a contract broadcast field engineer, primarily for EMF.
