Presentation Summary: Rich Hajdu will discuss ATSC-3 Benefits & Enhancements along with the latest encoding processes. Jeff Cooper, CEO and Co-founder of igolgi, and/or Dr. Kumar Ramaswamy, President and Co-founder of igolgi, will follow with a Q&A session.
About the Host: Rich Hajdu has over 35 years of executive sales and marketing experience with major TV technology companies, including Grass Valley, Pro-Bel, Chyron, Harris, Utah Scientific, and Beck TV. His expertise extends across television and digital media. In 2016, Rich started Media Technology Group (MTG), which specializes in business growth for hardware and software companies.
In 2022, Rich joined Lakewood Advisors as a Senior Advisor. At LWA, he supports the company’s investment banking activities and works with TV technology companies that need sales and marketing support in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
About the Presenter: Jeff is a recognized video processing expert with over twenty-five years in the industry. He has made strong contributions to digital video product development and standardization activities, including MPEG2, H.264, HD-DVD, and BD. Before igolgi, Jeff was General Manager of a Corporate Research Laboratory for Thomson Inc in Princeton, NJ. He had additional responsibility as Worldwide Director of Compression activities in Thomson, leading over a team of 80 researchers. He has a BSEE from Ohio University and an MS from Purdue University.
About the Presenter: Kumar is a senior technology executive with experience spanning the telecom, broadcast, and media industries. Before igolgi, he held senior management positions at Thomson Inc., including Worldwide Head of Corporate Research and CTO of the $4 Billion Systems Division. He holds 120 US patents and has over 80 pending applications. He is an Industry Advisor for WINLAB at Rutgers University. Kumar has a PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Electrical and Systems Engineering, MS (Math) from RPI, MS in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt, and BE from NIT, Trichy, India.
