7:30pm Presentation by Steve Holmes from Leader Electronics – “Monitoring Video, Audio & Ancillary Data In a Hybrid SDI–IP World”
About the Presentation:
When we made the transition from analog to SDI everything changed. We needed to find/make new tools to look at video, audio and captions. It’s not that much different today. In the analog world we had separate audio and video links. Captions were bundled onto an active line of video.
SDI allowed us to carry the audio and captions (and several other things) in the video payload. New tool sets and new ways were created to look at them. Well we have done it again. We have moved everything around and put it on IP. We needed to find/make new tools to look at video, audio and captions, and make sure the video, audio, captions etc. are compatible with being put back to SDI if needed. In this session we will look at how to do this and see things side by side.
About the Presenter:
Join Steve Holmes from Leader Electronics where we get into the nature of IP, how it differs from SDI, and how to work with both SDI and IP effectively as you move into IP-based operations and workflows.
