Our Presenter will be Steve Wynn from Sony Imaging Products & Solutions, “A status report and review of workflow tools for a new decade,” followed by Martin Lindsay who will share his knowledge on Cloud based workflow for News production.

About the Presentation:
“A status report and review of workflow tools for a new decade”
Emerging technologies are entering a very practical, accessible phase for media production and broadcast companies.  Sony IMS (Intelligent Media Services) has moved aggressively to deploy an array of services to address on-premise, hybrid, and virtual workflows and provide innovative, comprehensive solutions for the broadcast & production market.

This presentation will review major trends in media production, describe practical examples of hybrid platforms and services, and look ahead to important topics for a new decade in the television arts & sciences.

About the Presenter
Steve Wynn is currently a Sr Solutions Architect for Sony Imaging Products & Solutions, specializing in emerging technologies such as broadcast IP infrastructure, cloud media workflows and advanced systems.

Following an initial run of 14+ years at Sony, Steve spent time as Director of Engineering for Atlantic Video, a live television production facility in Washington, DC followed by 7+ years at PBS as Director of Engineering for its Media Operations Center, before returning to Sony to continue work in the area of advanced systems and media applications.

Steve has written for industry trade publications as well publishing in the SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) Journal on the application of MXF standards and applied systems.  In addition, he has presented on various aspects of emerging technologies at conferences including SMPTE, NABA, and SBE and currently serves as a section Manager for the Washington DC SMPTE Chapter.
